Hello, I'm Kristin!
As an experienced behavioral professional, I am committed to helping individuals and families achieve meaningful progress through evidence-based practices and personalized support. As co-founder and Chief Clinical Officer of Summit Behavioral Support, I am proud to provide Northern Nevada’s rural communities with services that meet people where they are, both locally and in life. My work is grounded in a deep understanding of behavior, with advanced experience in functional behavior assessment that extends beyond standard clinical application. I approach every situation with empathy and a focus on discovering what truly works for each person.
My Story
Raised in South Lake Tahoe, CA, I have always felt a deep connection to the Sierra Nevada region. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, where I was first introduced to ABA during an internship providing in-home therapy. These experiences sparked my passion for understanding behavior and improving lives through evidence-based interventions. I continued my training with a master’s degree in Psychology (ABA emphasis) from California State University, Sacramento, gaining hands-on experience supervising social skills programs, coordinating summer camps for children with disabilities, and providing in-home behavioral services. I earned my doctoral degree from Utah State University in Disabilities Disciplines with a specialization in ABA, focusing on functional behavior assessment, computer-based training, and translational research to increase self-control in young children. I also developed expertise in multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), including PBIS and RtI, collaborating with educators and administrators to design systems that foster student success. Today, through Summit Behavioral Support, I work alongside families, educators, and providers to deliver compassionate, personalized ABA services that make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we support.
