Hi, I'm Scott!
I’ve spent my education and career focused on helping people achieve meaningful, lasting growth through science-based behavior support and interdisciplinary collaboration. As a co-founder of Summit Behavioral Support, I’m proud to help individuals and families throughout Northern Nevada access high-quality ABA services, in the rural communities where they live. Whether I’m working with clients designing efficient clinical systems or supporting organizational safety, I approach every interaction with care, curiosity, and respect for those we serve.
My Story
Born and raised in Northern Nevada, I am proud to be a fourth-generation Nevadan and member of the Carson Valley community. I began my academic journey at the University of Nevada, Reno, where I studied psychology and developed a deep passion for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). I had the privilege of learning from some of Nevada’s leading behavior analysts, whose guidance shaped my professional path and commitment to ethical, compassionate care. I continued my graduate training at CSU Sacramento and Utah State University, applying evidence-based ABA strategies to support skill development and positive behavior change in group social skills programs, in-home interventions, and public charter and Montessori schools. Throughout my education, I remained committed to returning to the region that shaped me, particularly its under-served communities. Today, through Summit Behavioral Support, I provide high-quality, personalized services that support individuals and families across Northern Nevada.

Education & Training
2017-2025
PhD in Disabilities Disciplines,
Specializing in ABA
Utah State University
At Utah State University, I completed my doctoral training in Disabilities Disciplines, with a specialization in ABA. This work focused on systems-level behavior change, including multi-tiered systems of supports (MTSS) such as Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and using Implementation Science to bridge the research-to-practice gap in complex organizational systems. My research and fieldwork experiences explored advanced training methodologies and emphasized interdisciplinary collaboration, preparing me to effectively support a broad range of individuals and systems with unique behavioral challenges.
2013-2017
MA in Psychology, Emphasis in ABA
California State University, Sacramento
I completed my master's training in psychology with an emphasis in ABA at California State University, Sacramento. During this time, I completed my supervised experience at a center-based program, where I coordinated a group-based ABA social skills program for adolescents with autism and developed an understanding for integrating care services into complicated structures. I also published research in behaviorally-based pediatric feeding interventions and instructional techniques. After graduation, I became certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
2006-2011
B.A. in Psychology
University of Nevada, Reno
My undergraduate studies in psychology included an emphasis in Behavior Analytic coursework. I also participated in a clinical internship at the University of Nevada, Reno providing in-home behavior services, where I was mentored by some of Nevada's top ABA practitioners and researchers. These initial experiences solidified my interests in ABA and serving my rural community.
